Learn to row

It is never too late to take up this most enjoyable sport.

We run Learn to Row courses each year. The course consists of six 2 hour sessions and is comprised of a combination of land and water training.

The next Learn to Row course will be in spring 2024. Dates will be confirmed nearer the time and shown here.

Prior to the LTR course we will run a Taster session so that you have the opportunity to find out what the course will be like before committing to it.

Sessions start at 10 am. Should there be adverse weather or river conditions we may have to reschedule any affected date.

We hope that everyone who participates in ‘Learn to Row’ will be gripped by this fantastic sport and want to join the club. Our aim is for the LTR course to prepare you to enter our home regatta as a novice. This is by no means mandatory – and we equally encourage participants who want to row for general well-being and fitness.

Please note that we currently don’t offer Learn to Row courses for under 18’s.

No other sport gives greater pleasure
